Editing e-mail

E-mail is a fantastic way of communicating.  This is a great way to keep in contact with family and friends.

There is one VERY important thing to remember when it comes to passing on a message that you think would be of interest to a family member or friend.

That important thing is this: DO NOT CLICK FORWARD. Locate the portion of the message that contains the part you want to pass on. This part of the message may only be three or four lines or six paragraphs. Select this portion, right click it and choose COPY.  Open a new message and address it to who you want to send it to along with an appropriate subject. Right click the message area of the new message and choose PASTE. The part you want to send on is now shown in the new message.  then send the message. If you are sending this copied message to a group of recipients that number more than three then use "Blind Carbon Copy" not in the "To" section. Using blind carbon copy reduces greatly from those multiple addresses from being picked up by "Web Bots" that harvest emails sent to multiple addresses.

By sending a portion of an email that you thought would be of interest to someone else you accomplished the following: Eliminated all those email addresses who have forwarded the message. If the message was forwarded numerous times those addresses would look something like the following:
